Overview The ERA U.S. Hispanic Council acts as the voice of U.S. Hispanic direct response advertising and marketing management and all of its elements such as creative, research and promotion, education, finance, administration, media, international, ethics and regulations. The council provides for a peer forum or networking body for interaction and idea exchange and offers opportunities for professional growth and development. The council adds to the body of knowledge in the arena of U.S. Hispanic direct response advertising, recognizes excellence in performance and achievement in U.S. Hispanic direct response advertising and marketing.

Mandate The ERA U.S. Hispanic Council is made up of direct response professionals who are engaged in some direct to consumer retailing or marketing within the U.S. Hispanic market and are considered experts within their fields. The goal of the council is to discuss industry trends and issues relevant to the members of the U.S. Hispanic Council. If a council member is absent from both in-person meetings and four consecutive conference calls, and gives no report to the chair or staff, then the council can remove individual from the roster. Council members are also expected to assist with the planning of U.S. Hispanic direct response advertising/marketing-specific sessions during annual conferences and spring conference events. They may also be called upon to provide guidance in relation to U.S. Hispanic direct response research and industry analysis. As well they may be asked to assist and offer expertise regarding U.S. Hispanic direct response related government affairs initiatives, and to educate the general ERA membership on the best practices of U.S. Hispanic direct response.
