Bill Sheehan

Bill has more than 25 years of senior executive management experience with trade associations and technology companies. His multi-disciplinary association experience includes work in operations, membership, marketing, communications, advocacy, public relations, events, and non-dues revenue. Bill has served in a senior executive capacity for several medium to large trade associations in the Washington, D.C. area. He also has exceptional knowledge in helping associations initiate programs to improve business relationships between an association’s membership and their customers to ultimately help associations increase and sustain member engagement and relevancy. Bill received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from James Madison University and is an active member of the American Society of Association Executives.


Michael Candela

Michael brings over 15 years of experience to his role as Vice President, Sales with an expansive background in event, print, social, and digital revenue generation. He has multi-disciplinary association experience in business development, marketing, communications, public relations, and advocacy. Michael Candela has rich, multi-industry sales and strategic marketing experience spanning associations and private companies. Having built and run emerging global sales/strategy organizations as an executive, he has advised his client's executive teams on driving growth and organizational transformation through superior sales.


Mary Katherine Bilowus, CMP, HMCC

Mary Katherine focuses on growing association’s events and conference. She oversees all facets of event planning, direction, and execution from concept to completion. Mary Katherine has planned events for a variety of associations including the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, Healthcare Convention & Exhibitors Association, and the Special Libraries Association. She previously served as the Meeting Planner for the National Defense Industrial Association. In 2011 she earned the designation of Certified Meeting Professional.


Emily Brown
Manager, Marketing

Emily Brown joined ERA as Marketing Manager in July of 2017, bringing nine years of marketing experience in both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Formerly she served as senior manager of member engagement for the Special Libraries Association, marketing manager for South Mountain Creamery, and Public Relations and Volunteer Manager at a MD-based nonprofit. She brings depth of experience in brand awareness, strategic marketing, public relations, content strategy, social media strategy, fundraising, event management, and volunteer management. Emily graduated in 2008 from Asbury University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a minor in Journalism. She is a 2013 graduate from the Leadership Frederick program through the Chamber of Commerce in Frederick, MD.


Indira Fuller-Bey
Manager, Events

Indira Fuller-Bey joined ERA in 2017 as the manager of events. Indira's role includes; coordination of logistics for conferences, trade shows, workshops, and special events.  Prior to joining ERA, Fuller-Bey served in a number of capacities in the events realm. Previously as meetings registrar for the Direct Selling Association, and an event manager for multiple associations under an AM&C firm. Fuller-Bey is a member of the Professional Convention Management Association. She earned her undergraduate degree in Public Relations from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland.


Cecilia Mason
Director, Finance

Cecilia D. Mason, a native to the Washington area, joined ERA as an accountant in August of 2005. Cecilia comes to ERA after serving 34 years in a major Washington area bank where she managed the Accounts Payable Department, the Fixed Asset Department and worked with the General Ledger Department in account reconciliations and daily financial statements.


Bill McClellan

Bill McClellan joined ERA in January 2003 as director of government affairs. Prior to joining the association, Bill worked as a lobbyist at the Georgia Automobile Dealers Association, covering the state legislature and Georgia's congressional delegation. Before working for the GADA, Bill managed political campaigns at both the congressional and state constitutional levels.


Carol Neher
Director, Event Sales

Carol is ERA's Director of Event Sales. Since 2004 she has led the organization's event, sponsorship, advertising, and publication sales efforts. Her passion is finding the right solution for ERA's members, customers, and clients. With more than 20 years of success she translates business concepts and marketing strategies into bottom-line results. Prior to joining ERA Carol worked in the publishing sector for a number of years and was one of the key developer's in launching Electronic Retailer Magazine, ERA's flagship publication.


Jim Perrus

Jim Perrus is ERA's Director of Membership Sales. He is responsible for annual membership revenues by generating new member sales as well as overseeing retention to maintain existing membership. He came to ERA from Hargrove, Inc. where he served as Sales Executive, Exhibits. He also sold advertising for ERA’s Electronic Retailer magazine in 2012. He has worked for various associations such as National Association of Broadcasters and Association for Financial Professionals.


Megan Quinn
Manager, Content

As the content manager for the ERA, Megan is the resident wordsmith. She manages the association’s blog, newsletter, website, social media profiles, and assists with all other marketing and communication initiatives. Coming from a public relations agency background in Washington, D.C., Megan has experience working with a variety of trade associations and national nonprofit organizations through her previous client work.


Chris Reinmuth
Industry Engagement Ambassador

Chris is no stranger to the association or to the direct response industry, having been an ERA member since 1998 and having served on the ERA’s Board of Directors for the past four and a half years. Chris served as the Chairman of the ERA’s Board of Directors in 2014-2015. Chris brings a great deal of digital and advocacy experience to the ERA, having worked in the payment processing space for nearly a decade and having led the acquisitions of both Vantiv Payments ($364mm/2012) and Meritus Payments ($210mm 2014). As ERA's charter Industry Engagement Ambassador, he represents the organization at key industry events and aids in the organization's outreach efforts throughout the industry.

Julian Oberndörfer has represented the Home Shopping industry in Europe and the Middle East as CEO of ERA Europe since 2013, prior to which he served as the association’s chairman of the board and its government affairs committee.  Before taking on the role of CEO at ERA Europe, Julian worked at the German live shopping channel HSE24 where he was Head of Country Management Austria & Switzerland, and Vice-President of Media Law, Media Politics and Distribution (MMD), in charge of the multi-channel distribution of Home Shopping Europe’s TV channels. In the past he has presided as Chairman of the Working Committee for Independent Special Interest and Teleshopping Channels within the German TV Association "VPRT" and is a member of the advisory committee of the European Audiovisual Observatory Council of Europe and of the Multi-Channel Working Committee of the Bavarian chamber of commerce. Julian is the owner of a law firm in the south of Munich, specializing in media and telecommunication law.
