(2017) ERA News - ERA Announces New Industry Engagement Ambasssador

Reinmuth transitions to charter leader in new role after successful stint as CEO

McLean, VA (April 17, 2017) -- The Electronic Retailing Association (ERA) is pleased to announce a new program that will enable the organization to incorporate valuable insights of key direct response subject matter experts from the direct-to-consumer industry. The newly-formed Industry Engagement Ambassador Program will leverage industry and ERA leadership to represent the direct response industry at key events, provide context during educational seminars, and host receptions and other networking opportunities celebrating the industry, organization and key contributors.

“We believe this new initiative allows the ERA to leverage the highest-and-best use of some of the great minds in our industry,” said Poonam Khubani, chair of the ERA Board and president, international markets for the Telebrands Corporation. “With our ongoing investment in an efficient management and staffing structure, we also want to ensure we also have the ability to tap into the extensive brain trust that has fueled our industry’s growth to $350 billion and beyond.”

ERA announced that Chris Reinmuth will launch the program as the charter Industry Engagement Ambassador, after his successful tenure as interim president and CEO came to an end this month and as he takes on a new role as managing partner and co-founder of Demand Response LLC, a new venture he helped launch in late 2015.

“After board service and leadership, the opportunity to lead the ERA and help structure our new staff team has been an amazing opportunity,” noted Reinmuth. “Although I am eager to get back to working within our industry on a number of projects I’m working on, I am so pleased to help ERA launch this new program and continue to represent both the industry and the organization.”

Reinmuth has served on the ERA board as both a director and chair, and took the role as interim ERA CEO in 2016 at the request of the board of directors.

Khubani noted, “We appreciate Chris’s commitment and service to the ERA, and are thrilled he will continue to be able to serve the organization in this new role.”
