Quigley-Simpson Appoints Angela Zepeda as New CEO
Advertising Veteran and Women’s Marketing Expert Takes the Helm July 13
LOS ANGELES – Quigley-Simpson has appointed Angela Zepeda as its new chief executive officer. Previously president and chief marketing officer for Lowe Campbell Ewald Los Angeles, Zepeda will oversee all creative, planning, and media operations for Quigley-Simpson, which is a Los Angeles and New York based advertising agency with 150 employees and more than $500 million in annual billings. Founders CEO Gerald Bagg and COO Renee Hill Young will step into new roles as co-chairmen of the agency.
“We conducted a nationwide search to find someone with the right combination of leadership, management and creative experience who could lead our agency into its next decade of growth,” said Bagg. “Angela is a rising star in the industry who meets every one of these qualifications. We’re thrilled to have her at the helm.”
Zepeda spent the last ten years with Lowe Campbell Ewald, moving up through the ranks to spearhead the agency’s Los Angeles Office, where she oversaw $350 million in media revenues annually. There she lead the agency in organic and new business initiatives, securing partnerships with brands such as Ghirardelli Chocolates, Chicken of the Sea, LifeLock, PIMCO Financial, and Covered California among many others. She was also responsible for the award-winning Kaiser Permanente Thrive campaign, a fully integrated digital campaign now in its eleventh year.
Additionally, Zepeda is recognized in the industry for her expertise in marketing to women, as well as for her category expertise in health care, CPG, education, hospitality and tourism, automotive and financial services.“This is an exciting time to be joining Quigley-Simpson, given its strong position in the market and potential for explosive growth,” said Zepeda. “I’m looking forward to leading the agency during its next chapter and building on its already strong portfolio of clients.”
Prior to Lowe Campbell Ewald, Zepeda was vice president of Rapp Collins Worldwide, where she co-led client services for brands such as Bank of America, Home 123 and Fireman’s Fund. Before that, she was vice president and account director at Doner in Newport Beach, where she lead the development and launch of PacificCare, and grew the Secure Horizons Medical Advantage HMO plan membership to a 10-year high. Zepeda started her career at Team One Advertising and then TBWA/Chiat Day in Los Angeles.
Zepeda earned a Master’s in Business Administration at the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Advertising at California State University, Fullerton.
